This past week we went to Aldor Acres pumpkin patch!! Of course, the one day that it rains is when we are at the pumpkin patch, but we were so happy to see a giant sunflower field that we really didn’t care about a little bit of rain! (except that I straightened my hair and by the end my hair was super curly! haha)
If you read my post from last week then you will recognize this little denim skirt! In fact, I have worn it so much recently people at school probably think it is the only skirt I own 😉 Here is a little OOTD post of what I wore to the patch! Also, thank you to our sweet friend Maigan for the pictures! They are amazing!!
ahh I can’t believe that September has come and gone! Since it is the start of a new season, I have been trying so many many new products and I can’t wait to share them with you guys!!
If you follow us on Instagram, and have been watching our Insta-stories, then you will know that I was modelling in Vancouver Fashion Week on the weekend!! I am not with an agency right now, but during the summer I went to an open call in Vancouver to model in this year’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. I have never done any runway shows before, but I have had many, many photoshoots, so I have had a bit of experience! 😉 Continue reading
ahh I’m so excited for today’s post!! This week is a very special week because we are partnering with a local bridal & prom boutique for a giveaway!! As most of you know, we are graduating this year, and we have had so much fun looking for prom dresses. What better way to start off our grad year than with a giveaway! We are going to be giving a $100 gift card to Champagne & Lace on our Instagram @Basicbloggerss. A huge thank you to Robyn from Champagne & Lace for hosting this giveaway, and of course, our lovely photographer Jeannine from Custom Photo for the lovely photos!!
I recently went to visit my aunty Shawna (we also did a skincare post together here!) at the spa where she works, and she gave me lots of advice for optimal foot health, as well as a much-needed pedicure! I was so surprised to hear how a little TLC will keep me on my feet (literally haha) for a long time! Keeping up with your pedi-health is just as important as getting a haircut at the salon or a massage at the spa. Our feet take us from one place to the next day in and day out, so regular maintenance is key for always putting your best foot forward! I am excited to share with you some tips that I picked up from our little pedi-session!!
ahh I can’t believe that I have started grade 12! I remember going into high school as a grade 9 and wanting to be a “cool” grade 12 so bad haha!! I was so, so excited to start school and see all my friends, but at the same time I am not ready to spend my evenings studying and reading some boring english novel! I think going back to school is a bit easier because there is a huge forest fire in Washington state right now (close-ish to where we live) and the smoke has been really bad again. Luckily, the smoke has prevented it from getting too hot outside, so I am not gazing outside wishing I was by the pool while I am in class!!
I quickly wanted to share about this SUPER cute dress I found for my upcoming Cuba trip!! For a few days during the trip we will be working with a local church, and so it is culturally appropriate to wear dresses that are longer than your knees. Being over 6 feet tall, it can be difficult to find dresses that respect this custom and still look cute for pictures! During one of my (many ;)) shopping trips I found this dress at Old Navy! It is something different from what I normally wear, but I think it will be super cute for when I travel and go on adventures in Cuba!!! Also, that you to our sweet friend Maiganlee for taking these incredible photos!! You’re the best!
Anyway, I am in Cuba right now (probably without wifi!!) but I cannot wait to share pictures and stories of my trip!!
A few weeks ago we were so excited when we heard Tuscan Farm Gardens was having an open house!! My aunty Shawna (read my post with her here! She knows soo much about skincare and I asked her a few questions about her beauty and skincare secrets!!) had told us about the gardens, and we immediately texted our photographer Jeannine from Custom Concepts Photography that a photoshoot had to happen asap! If you live in the Lower Mainland and want to spend the morning walking though the stunning grounds of the gardens, they are having an open house this Saturday (August 19) from 10am-4pm. They also have a super yummy cafe with lavender teas and lattes and dreamy lavender ice cream!
have a lovely week!
