Small Business Support

Hello friends, it has been a hot minute since I came on here. I really just needed a break to re collect my thoughts and what has been going on lately. This is a tough time for us all and I wanted to share my support with small businesses that I love.

Shopping or sharing is a great way to support others that may not be earning their normal income at the moment.

Finches Jewelery

Finches’ is a small business owned by four cousins trying to navigate their way through the creative, financial, and sales aspects of a start-up. Founded in 2015 by Emily, Kate, Raney, and Ellory, Finches’ has since become more than a hobby transforming into our passion. Inspired by our Great Grandma ‘Cookie’ Finch, the most creative, unique person we were lucky to know, shared her crafty passions with us until 96. Our goal with Finches’ remains the same as when we started in 2015. We create and sell ethically, connect with our community, create a trust between us owners and customers, be transparent in our practices, and to always go above and beyond to help others. We proudly stand behind all aspects of our business, and can not wait to share our products with you! From photography, website design, social media, design, making our pieces, packaging, and shipping is 100% completed by the four of us. Thank you for taking the time to explore Finches’ we are so excited for you to try our products as we know you will love them.

Lavender and Grace

In 2015 Lavender & Grace officially started out as a small side business selling pieces as Christmas and Birthday gifts to friends and family. I was then encouraged and motivated by many wonderful people in my life and I began selling pieces on Instagram, which quickly lead to the launch of my own website. I now spend my time managing Pop-Up Shops, Stocklist locations and my online store while studying Business full time in the beautiful Okanagan. I am beyond grateful for your support, it means everything to me. I pour all of my love into every single handcrafted piece.

Mala the Brand

We go back to basics, but we don’t sacrifice quality: our hand poured soy candles are crafted from the simplest of ingredients: natural soy wax, wood wicks (for maximum cozy feels), cotton wicks and the highest quality blend of phthalate-free fragrance oils and essential oils. We select sustainable materials as best we can when it comes to the creation of our candles and packaging, while also creating in small quantities to maintain quality and care and to avoid unnecessary waste. All our candle materials and packaging is eco-friendly and fully recyclable. Our candle jars are made from 25% post consumer material, and are in turn 100% recyclable. Our natural wax is fully renewable, unlike typical candle waxes, so therefore sustainable. We ship our packages in 100% recyclable Kraft mailers and boxes, and our cards, stickers, and labels are printed on recycled paper.

Food

The Habit Project

Our cold-pressed juices and nut mylks are prepared with love and intention daily in the beautiful Fraser Valley. We take great pride in our juicing process. Our ingredients are sourced from local farmers and companies we know and trust. In an effort to be zero waste, our juicing pulp is then returned to those farms for composting; a beautiful full circle we feel honoured to be a part of. Our products are cold-pressed which means they maintain all of the essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that nature provides. They are unpasteurized, raw products designed to help us feel alive and energized.

OldHand

We have been students of specialty coffee and food culture for nearly the entire decade we have been married. Exploring our love of food, drink, and hospitality has given our little family its own special culture, a culture that for years we dreamed of sharing with others.
