Oscars Best and Worst Dressed Recap 2020

This video brings me back to the good old days… The first post we put out as BasicBloggerss 5 years ago yesterday was looking at some different red carpet looks so I thought that I would bring it back to that for this celebration post!

I hope that you enjoy!

Best Dressed:

Natalie Portman’s dress I love because of the thoughtfulness that went into this dress. All the names of the ladies that were not nominated for an oscar on her cape. Also, she just looks like a greek goddess! (in Dior)
I love the elegance that radiates off this dress, so gorgeous. (Scarlett Johansson in Oscar de la Renta)
Warrior Princess vibes all the way with this dress. (Janelle Monae in Ralph Lauren)
Kylie looks like an oscar in this dress. It fits her so well and shows off the right things, I am obsessed (Kylie Jenner)
Such an elegant, playful look. Perfect for a girl her age to be walking the carpet. This sleeves also…I am in love. (Julia Butters in Christian Siriano and Platinum)

Best Vintage:

I love that so many celebrities are going the sustainable route and wearing vintage pieces on the red carpet this year!

This 1994 vintage Chanel dress is stunning, such a unique style these days so it popped on the runway. It is such a flattering dress on Margo! (Margo Robbie in Chanel)
This may not be considered vintage but it is sustainable with the top half using surplus fabric from her BAFTAs dress. It is a bit mismatched but I kinda love it. (Gucci and Gemma)
This 1995 vintage dress toys almost with being too young for Penelope which puts me a bit on the fence with this look but I don’t mind it, it is a different cut than we are seeing lately on the carpet. (Penelope Cruz in Vintage Chanel)
Kim’s look is actually the first dress that I saw from that night. I love the look of it so classy but different. And it shows her curves so well. (Kim Kardashian in 2004 Alexander McQueen)

Least Favs:

This look just didn’t cut it for me. I felt that the top looked unfinished… (Charlize Theron in Dior)
I think that this is too much of a drapped on look. It is not super flattering at all. The only part that I like is the colour. (Maya Rudolph in Valentino)
Lasanga who??? (Kristen Wiig in Valentino)
just no…too much skin and tacky… (Black Chyna)
