Hey guys, today we are partnering with with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) for our third year! This is one of our favourite companies to work with during this holiday season, a company that we have supported way before BasicBloggerss. Today we wanted to share a bit about the company and some ideas for what to pack!

Operation Christmas Child is part of the organization Samaritans Purse that for years has sent gift filled shoe boxes and the message of God’s love around the world, distributing the boxes to all continents except Antartica. The shoe boxes then open doors for Samaritan’s Purse organization to provide communities with clean water, food, clothing, shelter, medical assistance, and so much more. In 2016 alone OCC filled more than 11 million boxes world wide and since 1993 more than 146 million boxes.

If you would like to help out with this campaign it is super easy! Find a place that hands out shoe boxes or fill a shoe box size container with item for girls or boys in the age groups 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14 and then drop them off at the closest drop off location to you! Click Here for Drop off Locations, or pack a shoe box online click here.

I, Vienna, decided to pack a box for a boy ages 10-14 years old. This age group of children usually don’t get as many boxes packed for them and I also had leftover supplies from the boxes I helped pack with my youth group. The picture below is some of the items that I put in my box!

We hope that this gave you some inspiration and excitement to help OCC this year and maybe in future years as well! Until next time xoxo BasicBloggerss
