Hello Everybody!!
Going into my grad year of high school, I knew that I wanted to make my last summer full of wonderful memories that would carry me through grade 12. A few months ago, I was at Marley’s house after school when her aunt, who is Cuban asked Marley if she wanted to go to Cuba with her and her family. Jokingly, I asked if I could go as well. She thought I was serious and was excited that I wanted to go too!!
I really did not know what to expect, since we would be there for 3 weeks doing everything from missions work to touring around the cities, to staying at an all-inclusive. Coming home from Cuba, I feel so incredibly blessed to live in the county that I do, with the parents and family that God has given me. I go to Mexico every year for a week for a family missions trip but I have never come home from any other trip feeling so extremely grateful like I have coming home from Cuba.
Exploring Cuba this summer has opened my eyes so much more and has made me never take anything that I have at home in Canada for granted. I am so happy that I have had this amazing opportunity to travel to such a different country and explore the incredible world.
Enjoy!!
