Hello Everybody!!
I don’t know how I manage to do it every morning, but I ALWAYS seem to be running late!! When my mom gives us all a five minute warning to leave for the bus, I am sill trying to throw on some powder or something, with my hair still in a crazy bun and I will still be in my pj’s! My mom is always telling me how I really stress her out in the morning because I am never on time, so I am going to try and be more productive in the mornings, and decrease the amount of time that I take in the morning to get ready!!… for her sake 🙂
enjoy!! XO
I first start off with a primer. I have been trying out some different primers recently- some high end and some drugstore ones, and I have really been loving this Magic Lumi one from L’Oreal. It gives you a really healthy glow and a nice, smooth base to work with. I saw this primer first from a blogger named Freddy Cousin-Brown, and she mentioned that this primer could be used as a drugstore version of the Becca Backlight Priming Filter (which I have of course tried as well!) and I would say that she is pretty accurate! Both of the primers give you that sort of glowy, sheen on your skin, and the they feel as if you are spreading liquid pearls all over your face!
I have then been going in with my Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer just under my eyes to conceal any bags that I have. I have been really lucky to have clear skin (with the exception of a few small spots now and then!) so I do not wear any heavy foundation. I really enjoy this concealer because it is nice and lightweight, and its nothing too heavy or thick.
After I have blended in my concealer, I will use my Urban Decay Naked Flushed contour palette. I love this palette because the bronzer, blush, and highlighter are all there and they are all such lovely products. I will very lightly contour my cheeks, and then I will carry the bronzer up to my forehead to warm up my face. I will then just lightly dust on some blush and highlight from the palette as well. I like to add the blush to the apples of my cheeks, and I will add a bit of highlight to the tops of my cheekbones, brow bones, the tip of my nose, and my cupid’s bow.
Next I will just lightly fill in my brows with a combination of Benefit’s Gimme Brow in a light brown, and then with Essence’s Make Me Brow (which are basically the same product) in a darker brown along my arch to give my brows some dimension.
After brows I will curl my lashes, and then apply a few thin coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This has been my go-to mascara for a few years, and I know I can always rely on it to give my the long, fluttery eyelashes I love!! (I’m also so obsessed with Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara, It as well gives me gorgeous lashes!!)
I will then finish up with a light sweep of my Laura Mercier Invisible Pressed Setting Powder, making sure to apply some to my under-eyes my nose, and my chin (where I normally get oily!). I then will just set my face with Urban Decay de-slick Makeup Setting Spray, to make sure my makeup doesn’t budge during the day. (Sometimes if I want a little extra sparkle I will lightly apply some of L’Oreal’s True Match Powder Glow Illuminator over my cheekbones and my forehead after I apply my powder!)
See you next Thursday!!
