Rebecca’s Autumn Skincare Routine

Hello Everybody!!

Every year this time, my skin goes through this horrible stage of post-summer dryness and peeling. This mixture of skin issues makes it really hard for products like concealer and BB cream to apply smoothly to my face, without snagging the dry areas. I naturally have combination skin; usually oily on my T zone, and dry under my eyes, around my nose, and around my mouth. I used to be able to get away with just using cheaper products to solve my combination skin issue, but sometimes those products do more damage than good, and I have to see what other options there are to take care of my complex skin.

I hope you guys all had a wonderful first 2 weeks back at school, and if you like to use any of these products, let us know on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat all @BasicBloggerss

Love,

Rebecca xx

Jurlique Moisturizing Facial Cleanser

I LOVEE this cleanser! So many times I have had cleansers that strip off all the oils on my face, and leave my skin so tight and dry. It is painful!! This cleanser is lightweight, and yet moisturizing at the same time. Your skin will feel soft and hydrated after using this cleanser. (plus, the smell is AMAZING! It has rose oil which is a powerful anti-oxidant, and makes the cleanser smell like you are walking through a rose garden)

Ole Hendrickson Green Toner

Before using this product, I never thought about using a toner before. But, when I went to Sephora because I was have some issues with blackheads and a lot of gunk deep under my skin, the lady recommended I try a toner. This toner kills all the bacteria deep in your blemishes, causing them to shrink in size. I have so noticed a difference in the amount of overall blemishes, and I will soon be purchasing another bottle!

Paula’s Choice Everyday Skin clearing Treatment

If there is one product that I recommend you get more than any other on this post, it is this treatment. I received this from a friend of mine, Sarah Therese who is a beauty Youtuber, and I can not believe how amazing it works! I can honestly say that I have not had a single big, red breakout that I have had to pop or apply any medicated ointments on since using this product. I am so amazed!!! After my cleansing and toning, I will apply this lightweight treatment to my problem areas – my cheeks, nose, and chin. Then I will follow up by applying a thin layer of my deep moisturizer to my dry areas.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

A few weeks ago, I was in Sephora (shocker, I know) in search of a moisturizer. I had since been using my mom’s drugstore no-name moisturizer, because it was A. Free, and B. because we have similar combination-dehydrated skin types. I was not really sure what moisturizer to get, so I settled on a Sephora brand moisturizer. When I washed my face that night, I did my normal routine, and then added my new moisturizer on top. It BURNED my face!!!! I had to was off everything it hurt so bad! So, when I went to return the lotion, I decided to get this one from Clinique because not only was it pink, but it is light weight and SO SO moisturizing! I have since had glowing, soft, hydrated skin thanks to this miracle product!

Tea tree oil

I used to use tea tree oil when I was back in middle school when struggling with blemishes and was desperate for a cure. I have since backed off a little on it, because I have noticed that while it does help, sometime the areas along the blemish will break out just because it is an oil. However, that being said, it is an amazing bacterial killer. It takes away all the bacteria (which is was makes the blemish all red and puffy) and zaps it. When I do use tea tree oil, I apply a little to a Q tip, and then apply it just on to of the spot.
