Hey friends, today Marley and I got the opportunity to model for a Black History fashion show in Abbotsford called Victoria 1 Fashion. Black History month is a big deal in the US where they remember people and events in in history of Africa. The fashion show was put on by a lady named Gratie Fugar. She and her husband took fabrics imported from Ghana and Europe and made lovely clothes that reflect Western and African fashions. There were so many beautiful fun, bright, and patterned clothing that were made with 100% cotton wax prints, linen, lace, and tie dye. It was such an honour to be apart of the show and I would do it again in a heart beat. This was such a fun event that celebrated African and Caribbean culture and gave people more knowledge about many peoples history in our community.
Thank you so much for reading. Until next time xoxo Vienna
