Hey Friends, today I am here to share 6 ways I deal with stress. Lately I have been super stressed juggling school, dance, and life in general so I wanted to share how I deal with it. I will also will show you some other ways that I believe would help with your stress if the activities I do don’t suite your lifestyle. If anyone knows me they know that I like to keep myself busy and this helps me with lots of things but, it also can make me overwhelmed. Over the years I have developed some ways that have really helped me. I hope you like them and find them helpful when dealing with your stress.
Tip #1. Have some quiet time. This can give you some time to yourself to calm down and do what you want to do. A good amount of time is 1 hour a day but if you can not do that 15 minutes 4 times a day can also work. Lots of the time peoples stress is caused by not not having time to calm down and feeling really tired, and that leads me to tip #2.
Tip #2. Get a good sleep. Sleep is also a great way to relive stress. When your sleeping your brain is not thinking about all that work you have to finish by the end of the week. It calms you down and lets your body recuperate after the day.
Tip #3. Find a non-stressful activity. With an activity that doesn’t cause you stress you can have fun and forget and/or relieve your stress. The activity that I do is dance. When I dance I forget about what is going on in my life while I do what I love. One thing to also keep in mind when finding an activity is; if it becomes a performance or chore then you should stop. That activity will only add on to the stress you already have.
Tip #4. Be carful what you eat. A lot of the times stress can change the way you eat and the cravings in your diet. If you are not carful with what you eat you can gain weight or lose weight in an unhealthy way. Sometimes when I am stressed out the smell of food makes me feel sick and not want to eat but, if I don’t eat I could become sick and really unhealthy. Lots of fruit and vegetables are very important.
Tip #5. Find a cute animal. Small animals like puppies or kitties can really help with stress. They can calm you down and be your best friend. There is a reason why dogs are a mans best friend. When you are having a bad day you can cuddle and just relax. Studies have shown that animals can relieve stress so it is not just me.
Tip #6. Vent. Talking to someone about your stress is great but its not always great to receive their feedback after. The best is when you know someone will just listen is the best.
Hope you enjoyed these tips! Until next time, xoxo Vienna
