Hey friends. Today I want to share my experience helping at the Ronald McDonald house in Vancouver! So, a month ago my dad emailed me saying that his work was helping the IMG_1234Ronald McDonald house saying that they were making a dinner and playing with the kids for a bit on Monday, September 28 and was wondering if I wanted to help. I of course said yes because it sounded fun and would be and awesome experience. If you don’t know what the Ronald McDonald houses are, they are houses made for families with sick children to stay in by the hospital so they don’t have to spend and much money for accommodations. Well that day has gone and passed and I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat. Just seeing all the families their broke my heart. So once we got there we set to work creating a fabulous meal including farmer sausage, soup, salad, and pie for dessert. Once we were done serving a few of us went and started setting up crafts to do with the little kids. We had frames to decorate and balloon animals. The balloons were a huge hit but the frames were a fun way to connect with the little kids. At one point some people were playing the guitar and singing while the little kids were banging tambourines and singing along. It was so cute watching them all filled with energy. After this experience my conclusion is that everyone should volunteer at some point in there life. It gives you such a good feeling in your heart and the experience is never terrible. In the bible it says “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35. You can alway donate to their program on their website http://www.rmhccanada.ca/get-involved/donate/. If you have any volunteering experiences don’t be scared to share them  with us at hello@basicbloggerss.com we would love to hear them. Don’t forget to follow us on social media @basicbloggers. Until next time xoxo Vienn
