Hey guys it’s that time of year again… 2 weeks until school starts. Lets take a moment 🙁
Okay! So to make back to school fun this year, Vienna and I created a series called #b2swithbb to help you guys out. We will be posting DIYs, recipes, and fashion tips and tricks for this coming school season. These are my favourite granola bars and they are great for lunches! If you recreate any of these ideas or have any of your own send them to us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter @basicbloggerss. Let’s get started 🙂
To make 35 delicious nut-free granola bars you will need:
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup flour
- 3 1/2 cups quick oats
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup dried apricots chopped
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup flax seeds
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 350°.
Line 10×15″ pan with parchment paper.
Heat margarine, brown sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan medium heat until smooth.
Combine remaining ingredients into a large bowl.
Pour dry mixture into saucepan and mix well until all ingredients are moistened.
Press firmly into prepared pan.
Bake 350° for 18-22 minutes until lightly golden. Under-bake for chewy texture and bake longer for crispy bars.
Vary dried fruit or seeds (do not add coconut or raisins as they tend to burn).
Cool&cut into bars.
Enjoy!
