Hey guys! I just got back from a missions trip to Mexico on Sunday where I had a blast! We ate tortillas every day, hung out with kids and taught them more about Jesus through crafts and games. While I was there last week, one girl told me “Everything is better with salsa.” I was like okay, sure I`ll try some and it was super spicy! Today I will show you how to make your own salsa and you can add as much spice as your tongue desires!
Firstly, you will need:
Garlic powder-1/2 tsp.
Minced garlic-1/2 Tbsp.
Dried chopped onion-1/2 cup
Dried red pepper flakes-2 Tbsp.
Salt-1 1/2 tsp.
Pepper-1 1/2 Tbsp.
Parsley flakes-2 Tbsp.
Cumin-3/4 tsp.
Chilli pepper-1 tsp.
Cayenne-1/4 tsp.
Paprika-1/4 tsp.
Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl and store in a sealed container. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons of salsa mix to 2 cups of diced tomatoes for fresh salsa. Add fresh cilantro or lime juice if desired.
Recipe above makes approximately 8 bowls of salsa.
I hope you all try out this delicious and healthy recipe! And if you do, make sure to tag us @basicblogerss on Instagram to be noticed or comment down below how it tasted!
Have a great week 🙂
